My challenge to you///
I challenge you to the death
Look in the mirror, thorough and deep
Make one change, from now till your last breath.
And every word you speak, let it be a vow to keep.
Let your actions be absolute,
As the Father seeing from every angle.
Let your faith be resolute,
Becoming God's faithful Angel.
I challenge you to the death.
Til present with the Lord, and absent from earth asleep.

Godlikeliness

So like, times like these I have a lot of spurts and spells of inspiration.

This week I have been putting some sort of filter or lid in my speach. It is irritating because I really hate restricting myself (even if the person who brought it up says "dont do it because of me", essentially, if he didnt want me to do so for his sake, limited to the ego, he would not have said anything....that would logically have been the wise thing to do). So I refered to the bible on such matters.

Well, there are a lot of things about speach there, so I will abide to that other than restricting my vocabulary back to middleschool level...unless I am speaking to middleschoolers.

I have been feeling....not depressed, but I have been feeling a certain amount of anxiety that I have been trying to eliminate. Aside from that, my energy levels have been abysmally low.

This is one of those entries that I start writing, but I dont really know where it is going to go. Those who are on facebook know that I have been talking about obedience a lot. I have also been passively thinking about how we should act as Christians. Should we be acting God like or just accept the "fact" that we are human and just do as we please?

In my mind, I have a few stories. One is about the basic principles that are threatened in our modern society. So far, there is Hope, Time, Individuality, Mercy, Justice, Truth, and Friendship. Each idea is represented by individual characters, and through what happens with these characters, I make whatever statement I want to make about these ideas individually, and in relation with each other. I called this Series the Angelic Seven. The main point here is to ask ourselves this "Does the Human race actually have a chance at survival without any of these ideas?". The character that represents Hope falls into despair, because Mercy has ceased. The world falls into the pits of destruction because if it, but it is because of the character that represents Time that things are reset the way thesy should be...
In this story, I have a nice lingering yet unimportant part in this story in the background...watching...

There is also a story that connects to Angelic 7 called The Knight's Bouquet or Bride in Shining Armour. I havent decided on a name yet : ). This story is supposed to question the role of the man and woman in regards to personality and individuality, as well as question the meaning and purpose of the search for the self. There are no homosexual connotations (if I choose for there to be, I will be making a statement about homosexuality in general. Probably something along the lines of 'Only the North and South side of a magnet can truly be one' or something like that). This is simply a story on the comment of the self, as well as a question about the spirituality of humanity as a whole.

Finally, This one is a little new, as this came to mind when I was thinking about the relationship between God, Adam, Eve, the decendants of Adam and Eve, and Jesus. There is a woman who is "immortal", but is a decendant of Adam. In reality, she achieved spiritual "perfection", and thus physical "perfection" as well. (I quote all of these because no one can be EXACTLY like God, though we can be God like to certain degrees. She is mortal, just her life span seems infinite. She does have imperfections, you just dont see them. Her spirit is close to that of God, but not quite). This story is one that is still being fleshed out. My goal here is to ask this question of the religious zealots: If you had obtained the highest spirtual state that you can, do you truly think that being human, you can still play God with no reprecussions?

And thus will be the topic of this blog: GOD LIKENESS.

We are all man. The difference between us and Jesus is that our literal flesh is not sin. At least, this is what I have come to think, I think ^^.
Time to get out the bible.

Genesis 2:16-17
(16) And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: (17)But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

There are a lot of interesting things here in Genesis, specifically how God told Adam not to eat of the tree, but SOMEHOW Eve knew of this as well, though she was created AFTER God told Adam...(OOOO!!! This makes me so EXCITED!!!) BUT, sadly, this is not what I am wanting to talk about right now.

I was studying online (as I do so often because I have noone to study with) and ran across something that commented on Jesus being the second Adam (which is also in the bible somewhere in the new testament). Scroll down a little and they will start talking about genetic deformities and the like: http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aig/aig-c004.html (essentially saying because of sin we are "evolving", or Devolving as I would like to call it, futher from our original state of being)

Because he was pure, his (Jesus) blood made the most "potent" cleanser for our sins. That opened the door to us going back to how we used to be. (I relate it to Jesus, though our brother, being our uncle, who adopts us and says "be obedient and trust me and you can be part of the family again"). Our goal is to go back to our "Adam State" before he was disobedient. Which all in all, is Godlikeness.

Right now, assuming that you accepted Christ's sacrifice and blood, we are all on our way to recovery and being like God, slowly yet surely. However, for so long we have been in the mindset that "we are not worthy of God because we fell from grace, and we were born out of disgrace", that we dont really look at ourselves as being capable of achieving what Jesus achieved, and it is one of those things where so many fell along the way that people adopted the phrase "noone is perfect"...though I challenge you in this: Jesus was indeed 100% man and 100% God, and he lived the Perfect life...still being 100% man. We are supposed to follow his theology to become like him.

That is the concept I have with the final story: A woman who is close to that 100% man and 100% God, but not quite there. Furthermore, I think it would be interesting to see how she enteracts with the world, and from what perspective she saw as she grew. I guess this is a commentary about who we could be, and also just how far the world is as a whole from who we could be.

I was actually thinking about the Godlikeliness while I was at Lunch and everyone was talking about premarital sex...which was awkward because I cant relate...I'm a virgin and I have never been kissed...
I think that people choose not to adopt that Godlike patience that would carry them into marriage...
And then that made me question "Agape" love vs "Agate" love...which is something that I need to go back to, because I feel like Agape love is agate without the lust and materiality....Something I am trying to perfect so that I do not hinder myself in expression unrighteously. (A while ago, there was a sermon on love, and one of the things I asked for in a prayer, was that God teach me how to truly Love. Which is interesting, because the love that we claim to be love, even that we claim to be Agape love, is actually agate...that is also another blog for another time). True love, is loving like God would love. Everything else is Vanity (refer to the Book of Ecclesiastes). And so, I end this blog asking this:

Are you taking advantage of the offer Jesus Gave to you, and are trying to Go back to our original state of grace? Or Are you content with who you were, and accept you can never go back?

Do you have a personal familial relationship with God, or is your relationship comprised of hearsay?

He is begging you, lovingly, to come home, He just wants you to listen and walk in His direction.
